Foundation Stage - Donaldson
Welcome to Donaldson's class page.
We are really looking forward to starting the Autumn term and embarking on a year that is certain to be filled with fun, adventure and new experiences.
It is an absolute privilege to teach the youngest children at OPS and our first topic, ‘All About Me’, is the perfect place to start to celebrate each child’s individuality and uniqueness.
Self-portraits will make a lovely class display and we will share stories about starting school and our class author as we settle into our new routines.
Our PE day is Wednesday so please remember to send your child to school in their P.E kit with the appropriate footwear and outer layers i.e. a track suit appropriate to the weather.
Our Forest School day is Thursday where children come in home clothes – more information of kit lists to follow.
If you are a parent and would like more information about how to support your child with phonics at home, please follow this link to find the Foundation Stage and Year 1 progression overview as well as useful videos of the sound pronunciations, letter formation sheets and other helpful resources. These overviews and videos are also suitable for parents of children in Year 2 as they demonstrate how phonics is taught at Oundle Primary and the foundations upon which the Year 2 phonics curriculum is built.
You may also find the Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised presentation for parents helpful. To view this please click here.
PE is on a Wednesday.
Forest School will take place on a Thursday.
Show and Tell will take place daily after half term- look out for the timetable.
It is recommended that you listen to your child read daily and record in your reading diary.
Books will be changed on a Friday so please make sure they are returned on that day.

All about Mrs Dale
I don’t get a lot of time to myself as my little boy and girl are 8 and 4 and they keep me very busy.
I love to keep fit by going on long walks and runs. I usually run about 20KM a week. I also love water sports such as paddle boarding and kayaking.
One of my passions is reading. I studied English at University and my favourite type of books are crime thrillers.
I love to cook, especially Italian food, which I learned to cook when I lived in Italy for a year.
