Our Year 6 children are proving yet again that they have a fantastic appetite for all things scientific after another succesful Science Fair held here in school.
Our pupils worked in small groups to investigate a scientific question of their choosing, presenting details and findings to our three visiting judges from Laxton Junior School and Oundle School as well as Stuart Naylor, who is extremely experienced and successful in the field of teaching and science and is perhaps best known for his Concept Cartoons books.
All of the children presented work of a very high standard, and were able to discuss their findings and answer questions from the judges. The winning project belonged to Lily-Belle, Jeanie and Jayden and was a study of the effect of water on the germination and growth of cress seeds.
The love of science by all children involved shone through and it is clear that many of our Year 6 children could have a scientific future ahead of them.
