Oundle CE Primary School uses ‘Iris ParentMail’ as one of its principle ways of communicating with parents/guardians.
This system enables the school to send letters and messages direct to parents by e-mail and text message. Parents receive a joining email for this system once their child(ren) start at the school.
‘Iris ParentMail’ is registered with the Data Protection Registrar and guarantees that all information provided will be kept private and will not be forwarded to any other organisation.
The school uses ‘Dojo’ for communication between the teachers and parents for reminders and incidental communication. Teachers are not expected to respond to these messages after work hours and some messages may take up to 48 hours to respond to. The school strongly urges parents to talk to the class teacher face-to-face when there is a concern or issue that needs understanding or addressing. If the issue or concern persists, parents are asked to contact the school office for an appointment with the Head Teacher. A response will be given within 48 hours.
Parents are asked not to use Social Media as a forum for any issues or concerns but enable the school to listen and support in the appropriate manner.
We use a ‘White Diary’ for communication about reading between home and school.
Newsletters offering a wide range of information from across the school, is published termly. An interim letter from the Head Teacher is published as needed or mid-term.
Parents should use our website for information about their child’s learning.
We always encourage parents to speak/write with respect to a member of the staff team. In the unlikely event that there has been a lack of respect, a parent might be asked to stay away from the school grounds for a period of time.
