Year 2 - Simmonds Class
Welcome to Simmonds class page.
We are really looking forward to welcoming you back to school! We can’t wait for another exciting term with lots of interesting topics.
We will be investigating our local area in more detail this term, thinking about the human and physical features around us. We will also be developing our map skills and using fieldwork to gather information about Oundle.
In Science, we will begin to look at plants. We will study the different parts of a plant and their lifecycle. We will use this knowledge to support our English text ‘The Gigantic Turnip’. The children will retell this story using familiar story language.
Our PE days are Monday and Thursday so please do not forget to wear PE kit on these days and wear kit appropriate to the weather on these days.
