Year 2 - Simmonds Class
Welcome to Simmonds class page.
We are looking forward to another great term, with lots of new topics!
This spring term, we continue to explore excellent ideas, which include learning about the significant individuals who spent their life at Fotheringhay Castle. We will also be building on our knowledge of plants, to investigate healthy and unhealthy plants and the conditions required for a plant to grow.
In English, our focus this term will be on non-chronological reports. We will be inspired by our reading of ‘The Egg’.. Once we have studied this text, we will create our own report about an imaginary dragon.
We will also begin to think about collage, creating a multimedia collage in the style of Kerry Darlington. In PE we will be taking part in fitness activities, as well as striking and fielding.
We can’t wait for this term!
